It was only a matter of time before I turned my obsession with iced coffee into some other form. Vietnamese Iced Coffee Popsicles are the cat’s pajamas!
Vietnamese iced coffee is traditionally dark roasted coffee brewed over sweetened condensed milk and ice. It’s super sweet and creamy and kind of sinful. I like it…alot. Sweetened condensed milk is my go to when I run out of my homemade vanilla syrup. These Vietnamese Iced Coffee Popsicles are such a special treat on a hot summer day. Thankfully, here in Southern California, a good portion of the year feels like summer. I added milk to these which I love because it cuts some of the sweetness. These aren’t like those sugary sweet popsicles that used to melt all over your hand as a kid. They have the flavor of a nice cold cup of sweetened iced coffee. The perfect way to cool down under the sun.
I used this popsicle mold which holds 10 and I had some leftover mix. If you have a smaller mold then you can make a ton of popsicles! On another note, I don’t usually edit my photos but I found some actions at The CoffeeShop Blog that I wanted to try and I kind of love them! (and not because the blog is named Coffee Shop) I used the Matte Color action on all of these pictures and I’d love to hear what you think in the comments.
